The speed sensor (also called speed measurement) belongs to one part of turbocharger, which is designed to suitable diesel engines, heavy fuel oil engines, natural gas, biogas and special gas engines, and dual-fuel engines. The turbocharger is single-staged turbine with high pressure turbocharging suitable for medium-speed engine with output range from 500 to 3,000 per turbocharger.
high compressor pressure ratios, up to 5.0 (if with aluminium impeller, the max. pressure ratio is 4.7);
high turbocharging efficiency from 63% to 68%;
combined with wide compressor maps;
Engines power range from 500 to 3,000 kW output per turbocharger;
Reduced pollutant emissions from the engines;
Compressor and turbine with washing device;
The bearing casing is water-cooled type;
Long service life and extended maintenance intervals.
Main applied to power generation, diesel-electric drives, diesel-mechanical drives, main propulsion engines, auxiliary engines, locomotive equipment, off-road field, etc.
The speed sensor is designed to measure the revolutions of turbochargers that is to accurately identify how fast the turbo is spinning. Turbocharger speed sensors are extremely compact and directly integrated into the turbocharger housing. Traditionally, installing these sensors was difficult for the end user – requiring complex machining at a compound angle to carefully hit the contour area of the wheel bore at the right angle, while the latest generation of speed sensors have this precision machining already done to every EFR compressor cover.
